How did you do that?

Abadjeo sold for a very nice price. But it didn't happen over night.  Many art sellers who are new to online commerce get very impatient when they haven't sold anything within their 30 day trial period. Selling art online takes a long time to build your, I guess I can call it, network base. Painter's Showcase (or any other site) is merely the vehicle that provides the powerful tool so the out side will find you.  It is your responsibility to get all of your linkage out there which is accomplished through your blog post here and comments on other blogs. It is important to learn in your 30 day free trial here to find out if  this a comfortable fit. Are you getting the views?  Art is such a personal thing and it takes just the right buyer. It took me about a year and a half to sell my award winning fish painting. I first had it on Etsy for quite a while (over  year). Then I moved it over here when I started my new art community. But it was through diligence with good tags, post and networking did my buyer track this painting down. Unfortunately, the economy is making it doubly hard to sell. I just want to encourage you all to hang tight and do your part if you really want to sell on online.  Here's how to do it.

-Diversify your online presence on more then one art community.

-BLOG, blog and blog.

-Buyers like to learn about the artist that they are buying from. Take the time to write a brief, but informative profile.

-Take commission work.

-Make comments where ever you can (especially on 'The Wrap' here).

-Write, clean descriptions.

-Use key words in your tags

-Promote on the forums.

-Always sign your name in tags, blog post, and descriptions.

-Face Book

-Flicker
