This is a Vertical version of the usually Horizontal 3 dimensional paintings known as "street art" or "anamorphic art". Usually painted on streets, sidewalks and sometimes on buildings.
From a certain angle, they look very 3 dimensional. I believe I am the first to offer such paintings that you can actually buy and hang on your wall.
This one is very effective in a hallway where you would usually have little choice but to hang small pictures.
This picture of "Dirty harry" doesn't exist but was digitally painted from about 20 pictures of Mr.Eastwood. I took bits and pieces of his face that I felt best illustrated the face you think of when you think of him. So it is a mix of details from the younger and older Clint. There is no picture I could find of him holding the famous 44 Magnum to the right. He is right handed and I wanted the gun protruding out of the window. I therefore drew my own hand in place.
Now for the gun. During my research on the "44 magnum" (I try to keep my work authentic). It seems the one he used in the movies was the 5 1/2" barrel model. The one used in the movie posters was the 7 1/2" barrel model. That did it for me. I went with the 7 1/2.
The scene was chose as a typical run down San Francisco wharf area.
One picture is the actual print tacked to my wall. It would be best displayed with framing that would be typical around a window. You can have it heat bonded to foam core etc. from an art supplies store. or mount it in Matte acrylic so as to cut down on glare to give you a more realistic "broken window "effect.
The picture will not appear as 3 D as you see it here. The camera has only one eye. If you close one eye it will appear the same. Nevertheless, it looks pretty cool and will give a start to any prospective burglar!
Another strange thing, the EYES follow you down the hallway. A byproduct of twisting perspective around.
I only use the painbtbrush and blending tool and try to stay away from the line tool for a more "painterly" look.
Signed and numbered limited edition of 500. First buyer to receive #2/500 and so on.
Thanks for looking!

w0w! this is amazing! I've never seen anyone do this before, I've only seen this as chalk drawings on sidewalks. Very cool.
